Tulip Park FAQ
 When is
the best time for viewing tulips?
 They are in
full bloom starting around May 20 every year. The flowering period,
however, may vary based on weather conditions. Please check by visiting
the website, where we provide information on their status.
Where is
Tulip Park located? How can I get there?
By car, please
drive along National Route 242, which goes across the town. The
park is located near the center of the town. (For travel times from
various cities, see the gAccessh page.) The nearest airport is gNew
Okhotsk Mombetsu Airport,h approximately 30 km from the park (about
30 min. by car). The nearest JR station is gEngaru Station,h 15
km from the park. Route buses are available from the station. When
using a bus, please get off at the gTulip Koenh stop.
Are tulip
flowers sold at the park?
During the
fair, tulip flowers (with bulb) are sold for \100 each in the gTulip
Sales Cornerh in the park. Please choose and plant any flower you
like.
How many
kinds of tulips are in the park? How many are planted?
Some 1,200,000
bulbs composed of 120 varieties are planted.
What is
the nearest hot spring?
gKamiyubetsu
Onsen Tulip no Yu,h a hot spring facility for day-trip bathing,
is located in the town. It accommodates a restaurant and a shop,
as well as Jacuzzis, open-air baths and saunas.
